Largo — hero grid for mains

Every Dota client, Russian included, shows the name Largo. There is no common English short name for Largo in the site's dictionary. On Russian servers you will hear “Ларго”.

Valve sums the hero up in one line: “Strums music to empower allies and can dispel with a lick”.

The site's “Choose a hero” window finds Largo by either “Largo” or “Ларго”.

A melee Strength hero — one of 36 — Largo gets 2 of 3 on Valve's complexity scale.

Role dots from Valve: Support ●●●, Durable ●●○, Disabler ●○○; full marks for Support.

In the ready layouts that means the “STRENGTH” (36th of 36) block of By attributes and the “MEDIUM” (21st of 59) band of By complexity.

Largo is a one-position hero — soft support (4); no other score goes above 0.21. All five scores (best = 1): carry 0 · mid 0.06 · offlane 0 · soft support 1 · hard support 0.21 — which is why the editor's Auto-pick places Largo in the “4 · SUPPORT” row and nowhere else.

Median gold per minute for Largo is 355, experience 562 — pure support gold on the site's scale (360 or less); by lane, 862 parsed OpenDota matches as of 23 Sept 2026 split 16% safe, 16% mid and 69% off.

Largo is not in Classic: positions 1–5, which holds the 18 most popular heroes per position, but each row fits 20 portraits — add Largo to the “4 · SUPPORT” row with “+ Hero” and the portraits keep their size.

With the button at the top, the MAINS block of Mains + situational starts with Largo, then Omniknight, Underlord and Pudge, because all three share the same main position (soft support), the same attribute and melee attack.

Then it is “Download grid” and hero_grid_config.json into Steam\userdata\<number>\570\remote\cfg while Dota is closed; load your current file in the “Your grid is ready” window and your old grids stay (install guide).

Largo has 73,232 games in the OpenDota snapshot of 23 Sept 2026, Herald to Divine — 121st of 127 by games played — and a 47.8% win rate, 99th of 127.

The win rate is flat across brackets — 46.8% low, 48.8% high. Players pick Largo more than usual at Divine (+66%) and less at Guardian (−24%).

Pros ban Largo more often than they pick the hero: 43 bans against 21 picks (11 wins) in the snapshot. Turbo: 45,714 games at 46.3%, about the same as in ranked brackets.

Main in a skin covers arcanas and personas only, and Largo has none there yet; to draw the hero anyway, upload any art to Picture to dots. Among the heroes with skins that are also played as soft support, the closest to Largo are Pudge, Earthshaker and Rubick — their dot drawings are ready for a soft support grid.
